THE HSC TRAUMA

Once you are into HSC irrespective of whether you change or not, the people around you change drastically. Now before asking, “how are you?” they ask, “how are your studies going, with a skeptical eye. And when you are not quite sure about your next week’s schedule even long lost relatives who meet only @ weddings and other such ceremonies before their regular “pehchana mujhe?” ask, “what have you decided to do after HSC?”. To most of the troubled HSC students this question sounds as absurd as, “Do you think that the governments policy regarding the FNOs will see consolidation in the stock markets causing a considerable depletion in the FII investors?”
With the nearing of exams, you find every body waltzing around with that get-serious-about-life-sort-of-sermon and you start thinking about vocations with a wide range of painting road signs to designing aerospace shuttles for NASA. (Of course, you are not sure about either!) And yes, then there are the carrier counseling programmes, which are, according to me, with their ‘if you cannot convince, confuse’ sort of policy leave you with an even bigger question mark as they tell you your IQ.
This is just the time of the year when even the Himesh Reshamiya songs seem more interesting than the torque and moment of inertia derivations from the physics text book (if you are a commerce student, I think the economics text would apparently be equally boring) But still, take this last sermon from another troubled HSCian, come out of the post-HSC quagmire, switch off the stupid H. Reshamiya’s songs and try to read the same boring text book again without any high IQ aplomb kyunki mamu,
It is your attitude and not your aptitude, which decides your altitude!

very very rightly said. people ask questions with an attitide as if the whole world depends on what u'll decide to do after HSC. its really irritating....
and it is today's funda, not only for the career counselling for evry field,"if you cannot convince, confuse".....
and probably after a few years when u get a job u too will learn to do that! :-)

A nice write up, but the sad part is that it gets worse as you grow older. Now your relatives talk about studies, next they'll pounce on you about marriage and importance of settling down, ofcourse you've got a long way to go. So till then rather than cribbing, enjoy this life...

Take Care,

Attitude is directly proportional to altitude. :)

It depends on what we mean by 'altitude'. This is the same for 'fancy words' too.

Do what you like the most and follow your heart. Recognise and realise and we can see the beauty of life.
