Snakes belong to kingdom reptilia and if venomous , their bite can be fatal. This is where my knowledge about snakes ends. And except for the one kept in the bio lab of our college, i had'nt encountered one until that day..............
That evening, while exploring another shiv temple on the bank of Godavari, myself and my friend stopped at apoint to have some snapshots. While my friend was enjoying the scenic beauty of the river,
i was busy keeping counts of the "wooooooooooovvvvvvvv"s that she attached after every sentence like a fullstop.
All of a sudden , the train of her wovs was disrupted by a deafening scream. I thought she must have seen a frog or something ( because that is the periferi of my imagination when it coms to scary creatures) when I saw her glaring at my feet. But looking down I saw there was a snake ,that too right on my shoes! I wanted to scream as loud as i could ut nothing came out of my mouth. After a few seconds when the snake slided away i ran towards the temple as fast as I could and sat on its steps panting.
When the temple keeper came to know about the incident instead of calming me down she, along with some other ladies in the temple raised towards the bank to have a glimpse of the snake.
While the snake had almost sucked my life out of me, those ladies considered me lucky to have encountered the snake near a Shiv temple that too on a monday!!!

Hey ketki. Welcome to blogger. Thnx for visiting my site.
Man it must have been scary for you!!! Snake on your feet!!
The closest that I've come to a snake is about 10 ft. But I've made it one of my goals to handle a snake sometime in the future. Just for the heck of it.
Cheers..
